OK O!! Sharia police arrest 11 women‎ for SEX, hemp and alcohol in Kano


The Faggae Outpost of the Kano state hisbah board also known as Sharia police has started prosecution of 11 women on Monday, October 31.
The suspects were detained by by the Faggae local government officers around the Sabongari area for allegedly drinking alcohol, smoking cannabis or having relationship out of marriage.
Four suspects are divorcees with children, while one of them is in the third month of pregnancy. All of them were taken to central prisons in Kano, where they are awaiting trial that will take place in November 14.
Salisu Umar, the сommander of special services of the board, said: “The suspects are females between the ages of 21 and 24 and were apprehended around midnight at beer parlours in Faringida and Abedie Road in Sabongari. We have brought them before a competent Sharia court for prosecution.”
Mr Umar described the crimes as social vices and stressed that the board would intensify its efforts in stopping such acts and punish whoever found guilty.
It’s unclear whether the men with whom women allegedly had affairs were arrested and prosecuted.
