A director in the Lagos State Ministry of Youths, Mr. Oludare Buraimoh, has allegedly committed suicide.
Buraimoh, who lived on Unity Estate, Phase II, Gbonagun, Abeokuta, Ogun State, was reportedly found dead in his room at about 4pm on Monday shortly after attending to his son, Dotun, who was ill.

Many sympathisers were seen in the deceased’s compound.
Dotun saidthat the incident happened after his father gave him a drug to treat malaria.
He said, “He gave me a drug to treat malaria. Later, when I went to his room, I found him dangling from a traditional Aso Oke tied to a hook in the ceiling. There was a stool with which he committed suicide on the floor.
“I then alerted the neighbours; and later, the police,” Dotun said.
The wife of the deceased said she had yet to come to terms with her husband’s act.
“I don’t know what came over him.
“He did not show any sign of depression. What led him to this remains a riddle,” she said.
It was gathered that the matter was reported at the Obantoko Police Station.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said no foul play was suspected.
He said, “There was no suicide note or anything to show why he killed himself. Nobody has any clue why he committed suicide. We are not suspecting any foul play.”
